New Friend

I'm submitting this to the "What are you thankful for?" contest being held by For that reason, I'm adding this comment to go with the submission. I am grateful for my friends. They come in all sizes and shapes and species. I have never been blessed with as many friends in my life as I have now. I am also thankful for all the wonderful folks who are willing to give a homeless pet a new life.

The holidays are fast approaching and the shelters are filled with pets, many of them victims of the economy. There is an increase in number of abandoned and surrendered pets as people are hit with financial crisis. For those who have not been hit that hard, if you are considering adding a new "forever" friend, please visit your local shelter. You will be so rewarded.
